Pele is in the hospital after collapsing due to exhaustion. The 77-year-old, three-time World Cup winner, collapsed on Thursday according to the FWA and is followed at the hospital in Brazil.
The FWA had to organize a dinner in his honor.
Pele "has undergone a series of tests that seem to indicate severe burnout," the FWA said.
"He is on fluids while doctors monitor his recovery. Thankfully there is no suggestion of anything more serious."
