Manchester United coaches are expected to train at Old Trafford on Christmas. Boss Jose Mourinho will hold a solemn session at 17 pm at the stadium, not Carrington's training ground.
The next day, United is on Burnley - but the decision to hold field training means that an additional 50 workers will be withdrawn from Christmas celebrations.
A meeting in Carrington requires only 20 staff members. And to the sun, Mourinho's decision provoked anxiety among those who expected to leave their families for the most part of the day.
