The Esther Code, one of the project’s platform designed to inspire
personal responsibility and development amongst young women is scheduled
to hold a specially tagged event themed “Breaking the limit”; for
undergraduates, early graduates and youth corp members on the
18th of September at the University of Lagos Akoka, Faculty of Education Glass House by 1 p.m. Highlights
of the day will include; exploring opportunities for growth,
understanding the transition of education and the knowledge economy,
destructive mindsets of young women, female marketability matrix and
understanding her limitless capabilities.
Also in recognition of entry level staff, mid and senior management women, the Esther Code 2 event is scheduled to hold by
8 a.m on the
19th of September at Newcastle Hotel, Lekki, Lagos highlighting opportunities for women in the market place.
Speaking on the upcoming event; Chioma George-Ekehon, CEO E-Circle
Foundation said; “In line with the ever increasing need for the
development of the human capital and recognizing the lean opportunities
available to the female gender; we have provided these resources, tools
and activities to enable female individuals identify, develop and deploy
their potentials effectively for personal, organizational and societal
development”.
“This has further driven E-Circle Foundation to strategically design
seminars, capacity development trainings, support systems and projects
to achieve these goals”. She added.
Sesema Public Relations Managing Director, Tampiri Irimagha-Akemu
said. “We decided to go into partnership with E-Circle Foundation on the
Esthers in the market place project because we are a firm that believes
in empowering youths. We have embarked on several CSR programs but this
is unique in the sense that it focuses more on young women and grooming
them to contribute effectively to the society”.
“We also identified the project as an opportunity to recruit
qualified young graduates as interns into our firm to give them the
opportunity to learn in the field”. She added
‘Esthers in the market place’ is an initiative of E-Circle foundation
designed to inspire and empower young women to drive change in the
market place. This is the third edition of the project as it aims to
continuously empower young women whose passion for transformation
translates into personal responsibility and development.
