“Karma came quickly” - Georgina Onuoha mocks Porsha Williams following separation from husband, Simon Guobadia after 15 months

#jaiyeorie

Following the breakdown of her marriage, Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha made fun of American reality star Porsha Williams and her Nigerian husband Simon Guobadia.

After a year together, Porsha Williams filed for divorce from her spouse.

The reality star reportedly called it quits on her marriage on Thursday in Atlanta, and as of this writing, the reason for their breakup is listed as a "ongoing matter."

In November 2023, Williams and Guobadia exchanged vows in a sumptuous Nigerian traditional native law and custom ceremony, which was followed by an American wedding in Atlanta.

Georgina responded by pointing out that Porsha Williams's karma arrived swiftly, only a year after her marriage. She mentioned how she wrote about Porsha's treachery without realizing their marriage would soon come to an end.

As she pointed out that there is a reason Simon Guobadia has had three or four marriages and several criminal records, among other things, she made the observation that one would always lose a partner in the same way that she finds them.

Georgina slammed Porsha for hurting another woman to find her own fairytale as she admonished her fans never to trust the lifestyle people display on social media. Among other things, Simon Guobadia has had three to four marriages and a large number of criminal convictions.

Georgina warned her admirers not to believe anything they see on social media and chastised Porsha for harming another lady in the process of discovering her own fairytale.

“D’Banj used to give me 50,000 naira out of 1 million naira I was paid” - Ikechukwu

#jaiyeorie Ikechukwu Onunaku, a Nigerian rapper best known by his stage name Ikechukwu, has shared details about his time as a member of the now-defunct MoHits record company. The Grammy-winning rapper said that D'banj, one of the label's proprietors, was constantly betraying him in an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze. He said that out of the N1 or N2 million he was always paid for gigs, D'banj only handed him N50k. He claimed that anytime he was booked for a gig, the money would be paid to D'banj's account, who would then give him a pitiful sum of money. Later on, though, once his fee was examined and he was given a raise to N150000 per show, things took a different turn. The choice that D'banj's mother made,

“When we used to go on the road, dem go pay Banga money, Banga go do like say e dey do me favor, him go give me N50k, back then I used to book like N1.5m, N1m, N2m. He increased it one time after we don fight, he increased am say ‘e talk to mummy, we go increase am to N150k’.”

Mummy is Dbanj’s mum, she was part of the record label spiritually. Ask Don Jazzy, dem no dey make decisions without momsi giving the okay for a very long time.”

The revelation by Ikechukwu has left many noting how D’banj is always in the news for negative reasons.

“I trended while I was asleep” - OAP Toolz recounts how she almost quit her job because of body-shaming

#jaiyeorie

Toolz talks about being body shamed.
Toolz detailed in a long statement how her body type was being used as a basis for body shaming. "So let me tell you about how I almost quit my whole career because of body shaming," the writer stated in her post. My work as a host at Beat FM gave me my first taste of life in the spotlight. At first, the attention was great; nevertheless, it soon became negative and became detrimental. I mean really badly. If I stated something that someone didn't agree with, it would turn into body shaming.

Toolz recounts how she almost quit her job because of body shaming.

My breaking point happened one morning when I woke up and found out I was trending on (then) Twitter. I trended while I was asleep! It had been a tough week, and waking up to all sorts of horrible body shaming posts made me think that perhaps this career wasn’t for me. I just wasn’t used to all the negativity and at that point quitting seemed to be a great idea. At least that way, I wouldn’t have to deal with all the horrible criticism.

A day or two later, I thought about it some more and realised that I didn’t make the move to Lagos to let some trolls bully me out of a job, and many years later, I’m so glad I didn’t quit.

Honestly, whether you’re big, small, curvy, slim,
have a big booty, no booty, tall, short, someone somewhere will find something wrong with you.
What truly matters is what you think of yourself. You need to remember to keep trying to be the best version of yourself. And whatever changes you make should be foryou, not to keep a man like “aunty’ put it.”

Toolz's post demonstrates the extent of the stigma associated with her public persona. Her experiences must have been exhausting, and it undoubtedly took a lot of bravery to discuss them openly.
