In a recent podcast interview with Echooroom, Ice Prince attributed the break-up to “growth”.
The rapper said they felt the need to independently own their platforms, where they would be able to groom young artistes in the industry.
“What happened to Choc Boiz? I would say it is growth,” he said.
“Then I do not know if it was a miscalculation or whatever but one thing that we did back then was we go got to a point where we thought that people like M, people like Jesse, people like Ice, should start up their own companies so we can allow younger artistes come in the game.
“If you remember, there was a time when Chocolate City started looking for young artistes, you know, young artistes like Koker, Ckay, Blaqbonez, had to come in. Now those artistes cannot be sharing a budget with you know that is what it was.”
In 2018, M.I Abaga also addressed the disbandment of Choc Boiz.

Georgina Onuoha has revealed how she discovered she was pregnant with her daughter, Mezie, with the help of her colleague, Stephanie Okereke Linus. The 43-year-old told Mezie about the incident in an Instagram video posted on Tuesday, January 16, in which she recounted the history of the camcorder her daughter was playing with. Georgina stated that she met Stephanie during a program her ex-husband attended in the United States, and Stephanie, who was studying at the New York Film Academy at the time, suggested that Georgina might be pregnant based on the way she ate at the restaurant they went to, but she ignored the suggestion.
They, however, went to Stephanie’s house after eating at the restaurant and they found out Georgina was pregnant after a pregnancy test.
Let me tell you the story behind that camcorder. So Chigozie was barely seven months so we went to Hollywood Global, your dad had a programme there with some of the doctors there so I was meeting up with my colleague, Stephanie Okereke Linus.

In a post on X, the newly married advised that single people should stay off relationship if they don’t like communication.
He asserted that effective communication between partners is the only way to deliver the clarity that relationships need.
A serious relationship, in his opinion, is two people talking everything out and acknowledging that they need time to themselves even when one of them doesn’t feel like talking.

Sharing a video and photo of herself on Instagram app, the mother of two appreciated film producer Lala Akindoju for inviting her to the ‘Open’ program where she had the opportunity to relieve herself of what she went through.
The Black Book actress recalled the unfortunate scenes of the year, stating her heart was literally bleeding. She spoke about how everything she thought she knew about herself, love relations was an illusion.

A man who has been charged with murder for allegedly stabbing his housemate to death on Christmas Eve is the heir to a £230million pie company fortune, it has been revealed.
Dylan Thomas allegedly knifed 23-year-old William Bush, who was found with fatal injuries in a car park next to Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff at around 11.30am on December 24.
Thomas, 23, is the grandson of Sir Gilbert Stanley Thomas — the Welsh tycoon behind a business empire that included Peter’s Pies.
He is said to have been best friends with William and attended the same private school as him – Christ College in Brecon.
The pair later moved in together, sharing a nearby terraced house which was owned by Thomas’ grandparents and Welsh rugby legend Sir Gareth Edwards.
Thomas moved into the house two years ago, a report said.
He is reported to be a computer programmer and health food fanatic.
William, who is said to have been a surveyor with a local commercial property firm, moved into the shared home soon after.
His family are reportedly from Brecon and he is said to have been a keen rugby player and golfer.
Following news of his death, William’s family said in a statement:
‘Our beloved Will was taken away from us in such a cruel and indescribable way. Will was such a loyal, funny and caring son, brother and boyfriend.’
‘We are absolutely devastated and as a family request that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.’
Thomas is due to appear in court next month.
He had been set to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on January 2, but was remanded in custody in his absence and is not set to appear again on February 2.
