 Buhari has suspended embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed this on twitter some minutes ago. He wrote.

''JUST IN: President @MBuhari suspends the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen and appoints Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.

Justice Tanko Mohammed from Bauchi State, who is next in line to Justice Onnoghen, has been sworn-in at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, Abuja, .
Justice Onnoghen is being tried for false declaration of assets.

Court grants internet fraudster N20m for $2.3k fraud

A Federal high court in Oshogbo, Osun state has granted one Ajibade Wasiu Oladotun a n20M BAIL OVER A $2.3k FRAUD.
According to reports, Ajibade, was on January 21, 2019, arraigned before Justice M.A. Onyetenu on a three-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and possession of false document.
One of the counts reads: “That you, sometimes in March 2017, at Ile-Ife in Osun State, with intent to defraud, did obtain by false pretence, the sum of $2,300 from one Chris Odom who resides in the U.S, under the pretence that you are a woman named Lola Parker, ready to marry him.
And that the money was to be part of the air ticket from KLM flight from Lagos, Nigeria to Seattle, U.S, which you knew to be false.”

My secret to flat abs:
I did a smoothie only diet for 4 days and lost some weight and my stomach got a lot flatter in the process. Following that, for now, I have just one meal a day around lunch time. I have my tea and smoothie for breakfast, I can either have smoothie again for dinner or just have some carrots or apples with a handful of nuts.

According to him, INEC is unable to reprint the ballot paper, hence they would be reprinting some campaign materials with the new logo.
He wrote: “VERY URGENT!!! It turns out that logo that will show for MDP on the election day ballot papers is wrong. We have tried every possible option to see if the ballot papers can be reprinted, but that is unfortunately not possible. So we move on.
No sense crying over spilt milk. The good news is we are on the ballot. You will see “Modern Democratic party” on the ballot with this new logo. 2019: United States, UK Threaten Visa Ban On Nigerian Election Riggers

Ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 general elections, both the United States of America and the United Kingdom have threatened to punish anyone found guilty of either instigating violence or plotting to rig the elections.

In separate statements issued on Thursday by the Embassy of the United States and the British High Commission in Abuja, the two countries pledged their commitment to ensuring free and fair elections in the country, saying the 2019 elections “is important not only for Nigeria, but for the African continent.”

These statements are coming on the heels of agitation among politicians and particularly former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who in his latest 16-page letter, had expressed doubt on the readiness and capability to conduct free and fair election.


The U.S. statement reads in part; “The United States government does not support any specific candidate or party in Nigeria’s upcoming elections. The United States supports the Nigerian democratic process itself. We support a genuinely free, fair, transparent, and peaceful electoral process.

Anambra Govt Extends Teachers’ Retirement Age

Anambra State Government approved the extension of retirement age for teachers from 60 years to 65 years.

The Head of Service, Harry Udu, said in Awka, the state capital that the extension takes effect from January 17.

According to Mr Udu, the extension affected teachers in primary and post-primary schools.
