Post Malone Involved in a Car Crash

      

The crash, came 17 days after his private jet blew 2 tires after takeoff from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and circled for hours to burn fuel before making an emergency landing.
According to The Blast, Post was involved in a 2-vehicle crash early Friday, 7^th of September, in West Hollywood. The rapper said a car hit his Rolls-Royce, causing his vehicle to spin out.
He said he’s ok, the driver is hurt from the accident.




They were tested for drugs and alcohol but it turned out negative, but the “I Fall Apart Rapper” took to twitter to share sad but negative thougts,

  Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has disclosed that she’ll be returning to the music studio soon. She made this known in an interview with Punch‘s Ademola Olonilua of Saturday Beats.


When asked if she’ll revisit her music career, she said: "You can call that my first love if you want. I know a lot of people get shocked when I say that I love singing more than acting, but that is just the truth and I would have to speak my truth. I know that people think I have not ‘blown’ (made it big) as a singer so they expect me to just say acting is my love, but I would shock the world soon."

She responded with “Oh! Of course.” when asked if her last statement meant she’ll be returning to the studio soon.

On why she took a break from Nollywood: "I was focusing on some other things which were based on building. I felt that it was the right time for the stakeholders in the industry to begin to invest in the industry aside from producing movies. My first love was not producing movies.

I like real estate and I studied Estate Management. I actually do real estate as a business and I thought about how I could merge real estate and entertainment. That is what I wanted to do. I wanted to do real estate in entertainment and that is what I fell back into. I just want to get properties and begin to think of the process of building cinemas, film studios or film villages."

On how she feels after winning AMVCA Best Actress: "I can’t capture the way I feel about winning the AMVCA award in one word. I feel like I have stayed away for so long and the project that I took was worth coming back for. It was a labour of love and it was really hard to do that project.

Right now, it just feels great that I did the right thing and hopefully, I would find projects that would challenge me and would even be better than that."  Genevieve Nnaji in an interview with Women and Hollywood spoke on why she ventured into directing.


Here is an excerpt from the interview.


W&H: What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
GN: I’ve always had a hunger for visual storytelling. There is so much material out there that is still untold — countless real-life stories from within and outside Africa, and today, we have the chance to tell it ourselves. My hope is that Africans will have adequate representation globally, and be given a seat at the table in big studio productions as we continue to grow and improve from within the continent.
I also believe that my generation of women need to continue to work at paving a path better than the one that exists today for the future generation of women in film.
W&H:  Describe the film for us in your own words.  
GN: “Lionheart” is an inspiring drama about family values, succession, and most importantly, female empowerment. It highlights the various challenges faced by women, particularly in male-dominated industries.
W&H: What drew you to this story?  
GN: The message and the environment which forces a heroine to shoulder the load. Questions of succession, gender roles, and traditional versus modern ideals surround the story. Plus, that it was rooted in African culture which made it even more fascinating. So, drawing inspiration from a close friend and family run businesses in Nigeria, “Lionheart” was created.
W&H: What do you want people to think about when they are leaving the theater?  
GN: I want people to reflect on the endless possibilities of growth and success that come with men and women, the old and the young, working together: a world where insecurities are tackled and equality is encouraged. We need to be more open and accepting of competition instead of feeling threatened by it.

W&H: What was the biggest challenge in making the film?  
GN: It was very difficult playing both roles of director and lead actor. Fortunately, I was surrounded by a very efficient and effective crew. With their help, plus adrenaline and sheer determination, we were able to make a movie.
However her directorial debut movie “Lion Heart” where she also played lead actor premieres today, 8^th September, 2018 at the Toronto international Film Festival marking the first Netflix original film from Nigeria.

Gomoa Fetteh is a fishing and farming community in the Gomoa East District which celebrates Ahobaakese Festival from the 23rd of August to 2nd September every year.

The festival is famous for its controversy, Find Dance, known by the locals as Akosualontoba, a dance considered to be the most exciting moment in the Ahobaakese festival.

The head of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abor Yamoah II and her elders say it's a way to exercise the body and release stress.

Queenmother of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abena Ewusu, explained that the dance was used by women in the olden days to welcome their husbands who returned from wars with a victory.

Sarkodie claims that he has never charged any of his friends in the music industry for a collaboration.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Sarkodie reacting to criticism about his criteria for collaboration with others noted that a lot of factors come to play.

According to him, he sometimes records features without even knowing the name of the artiste.

“…I have never charged any of my friends for a feature. Never! I’m talking about the people that you know as my friends. I mean Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Stonebwoy and the rest. I don’t think any of them will do that to their friends as well….,” he told Andy Dosty.

Asked about his features with Nigerian artistes, Sarkodie said most of them are strategic.

He stressed that the collaborations were strategic schemes aimed at tap into their market and also add up to his fan base.

“…Most of them were strategic. It’s not really about money but it’s more of a strategic move to tap into numbers…,” he noted.

On directorial debut film Yardie As much as I’ve worked on stuff, I had no real understanding of what it meant to be a director. It’s one of those things I dreamed up: ‘I can do that.’ Then someone says I can actually do it and I think, ‘What?! OK, where do I start?’ It’s delegation, man; finding the best people who could interpret my brain dumps. I’ve got muscle memory from every film and TV show I’ve made, watching Ridley Scott, Guillermo Del Toro. I had that sort of Rolodex in my head, and then the will, a good script and great actors.”

Idris adds on Yardie; “It’s more a comment on a part of my life. There’s a misconception that I’ve come from the tortured streets and seen some really dark days. I’ve seen lots of stuff, but I have fond memories of my childhood. The idea was to get an audience to go, ‘Yeah, I remember them days.’ Or educate their young ones and go, ‘Mate, this is what it was like.”

On Masculinity and taking on his Discovery Channel “No Limits” Where masculinity is concerned, vulnerability is a breath of fresh air. It’s me saying I have fears, too. That’s a reality. That’s just a natural [part of] evolution. He continues

 2013 Project Fame winner Olawale now works as a cab driver. He has confirmed the report, in an interview with Punch, saying he does the job because it pays the bills and gives him time to focus on his music career.




He said:

It is very true that I am a cab driver. Everybody knows that money finishes, especially when you are in an industry where you have to pay for virtually everything. To promote your songs, you need money. When I completed the Project Fame competition, I released some songs, even after the one year contract I had with them expired. To release all those songs cost me money; it is not as if I won N200m. There were some other personal things I spent my money on.
I have a video that tells my story and I mentioned a lot of things I faced in the song, titled, ‘Blessing’. There are so many things I cannot outline word for word. I did not spend the money lavishly and there are a lot of things people do not know. I went back to school and that is something a lot of people do not know. When I was in 400 Level, I had some challenges but at the end of the day, I completed it and had my national youth service in 2017.
I resorted to driving cabs because a white collar job would not give me time to face my music career. At a point, I thought about how I could support my music career while working; I thought about jobs that would allow me to have time for my studio session and do what I love doing without being tied down under someone’s employment.
That is why I resorted to driving cabs. If I take up a white collar job, I would be in the office from 9am to 5pm and I would not have time for music anymore, which is what I have a passion for. Music is what I love doing.
I have never felt embarrassed about being a cab driver and that is the truth. I have grown past that stage where I would feel embarrassed about what I do to earn a living. As far as you are not feeding me, why would I feel embarrassed or be concerned about your opinion of me?
Most times, when people order for my service and see me as the driver, they ask if I am the Olawale that won Project Fame and I let them know that I am the one. Most of them ask if I am still doing music and I reply in the affirmative; then, I play my latest songs for them to enjoy while I am driving.
This is just to let them know that I have not stopped doing music. I make them realise that since music is not putting food on the table right now, I have to find another source of income so that I can eat. Being a Project Fame winner does not stop you from being hungry or in need of basic things of life, like every other person. He dissed the country’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kenya’s immigration office announced on Twitter that Jiaqi’s work permit has been revoked and he’s been deported to his country.


A Chinese Embassy spokesperson Zhang Gang told Kenya’s Capital FM: “The personal talk and personal feeling of this young man does not represent the views of the vast majority of Chinese people.”
“The Chinese Embassy always requires the Chinese companies and individuals to abide by the local law, stay and work legally in Kenya, making positive contribution to the friendship and cooperation between China and Kenya,” Gang commented.


The video was captured in June and according to Gang, Jiaqi’s employers punished him for the act and made him apologise.

Laolu Senbanjo’s 2018 Limited Edition Belvedere Vodka Bottle launched during NYFW 2018

 Nigerian visual artist Laolu Senbanjo, Belvedere Vodka unveiled the limited edition bottle at an event planned for Spring/Summer 2019 New York Fashion Week.

The event held at The Whitney Museum Of American Art on September 6, 2018 in New York City with models walking the runway with body art painted by Laolu.


According to Belvedere Vodka, the bottle will support the global fund to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa.
