World's richest woman dies L'Oreal mogul

French businesswoman and billionaire Liliane Bettencourt, whose family founded L'Oreal and still owns the largest stake in the cosmetics giant, has died aged 94, her daughter said on Thursday.

Karrueche Tran reveals why she got a restraining order against Chris Brown

#Nigeria Karrueche Tran 29 told Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” on Thursday that she obtained the restraining order against the R&B star in June because she felt unsafe.


She was asked why she felt the restraining order was necessary and she replied,

Lerato Kganyago was never ready to stop when he was challenged, and the star came back into a spicy chewing because he could not click on her tongue when pronouncing Vernac's words.The trouble started when Lerato and one of her followers got into an argument over being able pronounce vernacular words and their willingness to try.
After Lerato claimed the follower couldn’t even pronounce one word Sepedi and was not willing to try, the person responded by insisting that clicking was “an African thing”.

Celebs Need To Be True To Themselves – Bontle Modiselle

Club 808 presenter Bontle Modiselle speaking to Weza Matomane on CliffCentral on Thursday, Bontle explained that as much as celebs had to “adapt or die” on social media it should never be used as a platform to show off.
“People’s perceptions of social media is that it needs to be all about the flashing lights and the glamourous. It is not about that. Use your platform to compliment and promote your work,” she said.
She said that more people needed to “be aware” of who they were and stay true to themselves instead of pretending to be something they were not.
Bontle first rose to fame as a dancer and choreographer and said that too few dancers valued themselves in the industry, partly contributing to a lack of respect for dancers in the industry.
“When it comes to, for instance, an event. They say to artists: ‘this is where you can change’. You have your own changing room. You have your own rider so everything you requested is taken care of…dancers: ‘Oh there’s a toilet, you can change there’. You only get a bottle of water two hours after you perform. It is like where has the human thing gone? You can’t treat people like that,” she added.

NBA Chief Urges IPOB, Kanu To Challenge Proscription

Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Monday Ubani, has called on the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to challenge its proscription in a competent court of law.
Ubani made the call while faulting the ruling of an Abuja Federal High Court declaring IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu as a terrorist organisation.
In a statement he issued on Thursday, Ubani said the ruling proscribing IPOB was lamentable because the group is not a registered entity in Nigeria.
According to Ubani, “The ruling by the Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday shows that some of us were right when we said that the Nigerian military was wrong to have pronounced IPOB a terrorist organisation without following due process.
“It also showed that we were right when we told the south-east governors that they have no right under the law to proscribe IPOB. The proscription of any organization as stipulated by law is through a judicial process.
“The issue now is if you say you have proscribed an organisation and that organisation is not registered in law, there is a problem. Our laws stipulate that only a juristic person can be sued.
“I believe IPOB is not registered under our laws. So there is a problem because the court has just proscribed an organsation that is not registered under our laws.
“If you take a look at the court order, it says IPOB, whereas there is no entity known as IPOB under our laws…This is clearly a complex situation. I think what IPOB has to do now is to proceed to the court to challenge the order.
“Even if, assuming without conceding that IPOB was properly registered under our law, does it qualify to be labelled a terrorist organisation based on our laws and arguments advanced by the Attorney-General?
“As it stands today, IPOB by way of the Federal High Court order, remains a terrorist organization but that order can be challenged and set aside.”

Lamido Faults Atiku Over 2019 Election

Former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has warned against politics of blackmail and hatred​ ahead of the 2019 general election.​
He stressed that such would not help the existing democracy and ​Nigeria as a nation.
Lamido said this in a chat with newsmen in his Bamaina, Birninkudu Local Government Area country home in Jigawa State.
He condemned recent comments about the People Democratic Party, PDP, credited to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
“Atiku is entitled to his opinion like any other Nigerian,” he said.
“Some people, especially politicians, should not be condemning others with different political ideology, interest or opinion,” he added.‎
Lamido, however, added that APC demonstrated that it cannot rule the country.

Alli Outraged At FIFA 18 Rating: I’m Going To Refuse To Play With Myself

Tottenham attacker Dele Alli has expressed his outrage at his 84-overall rating in FIFA 18.
The 21-year-old is considered one of the best young players in world football, having won the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the last two seasons.
Alli has started the season brightly with two goals in the Premier League and another to help Spurs progress in the Carabao Cup, and has been rated among the top 100 players in the world in FIFA 18.
Despite being ranked the same as Dani Alves, Sami Khedira and Sadio Mane, the England international is disappointed with his rating and claims that he will not play as his in-game version until EA Sports give him a higher score.
“To be honest I don’t think I’ll use myself in the game because I don’t think my rating is very good,” Alli told the Mirror.
“I’m going to refuse to play with myself until I’m a little bit more realistic!”
Alli’s 84 rating ranks him as number 29 among the top Premier League players, with Spurs team-mates Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris all rated higher.
The standard edition of FIFA 18 is released worldwide on September 29, while the Icon and Ronaldo editions are released three days earlier.
