Borno Councillor Jailed Four Years for Sale of IDPs’ Items
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 secured the conviction of a Supervisory Councillor from Mafa Local Government Area, Umar Ibrahim and one Bulama Ali Zangebe, who were proecuted before Justice F. Umaru of the State High Court Maiduguri on a 4-count charge bordering on conspiracy to sell and misappropriate the proceed of rice meant for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mafa Local Government.
Ibrahim was arrested alongside Zangebe and Modu Bulama, for allegedly diverting180 bags of rice donated by Danish Refugee Council (DRC), a Non Governmental Organization, for victims of insurgency in Mafa Local Government,
In his Judgment, Justice Umar held that “The EFCC proved its case beyond reasonable doubt as there was an agreement to do illegal act. The convicts conspired to do illegal act to sell rice meant for the IDPs”.
He therefore sentenced both convicts to two years and a fine of N1m each on the charge of criminal misappropriation and two years in prison for conspiracy. The N50,000 recovered from the agents that sold the rice was ordered forfeited to the Borno State Government”.
Count two of the charge read:
“That you, UMAR IBRAHIM and one SHETTIMA LAWAN MAINA (now at large) sometime in November, 2016 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court dishonestly converted to your personal use the sum of N1,440,000.00 (one million, four hundred and forty thousand naira) only, being the proceeds from the sales of 180 bags of rice meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State contrary to and punishable under Sections 308 and 309 of the Penal Code Law Cap 345, Laws of the Northern States of Nigeria respectively”.

Trump Fires White House’s 1st Female Chief Usher

The Trump has fired the White House chief usher the first woman and second African-American to hold the nonpartisan position.
The White House residence staff was that Angella Reid, appointed in 2011 by President Obama, had been canned, without offering an explanation, the Washington Post reported, citing a source.
“We are very grateful for her service and wish her the very best,” a White House official confirmed, declining to provide details. Reid was only the third usher to be booted in more than a century and the first since then-first lady Hillary Clinton canned an usher in 1994 for supposed disloyalty.

White House ushers are on duty 24/7, taking care of the first family’s needs and overseeing the staff, including chefs, florists, maids, butlers, chefs, carpenters and other workers who take care of the presidential residence.

Get Computer Literate Or Resign, Akeredolu Tells Workers

The Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has advised civil servants in the state to learn how to get training on the use of computers for better productivity.
Akeredolu said his administration would not tolerate computer illiteracy in the state civil service, saying it would better for the service if all the workers were computer literate. He, therefore, asked any worker that is not ready to comply with the use of computer to resign.

According to the governor, the SIFMIS project would assist the state in generating more revenue internally and enhance good governance through the application of technology.
“SIFMIS will support capacity building efforts aimed at erecting an institutional framework for the public service in compliance with international best global practice,” Akeredolu said.
He urged the civil servants in the state to support and cooperate with the consultant that would train them on the implementation of the SIFMIS project.

Adaeze Yobo opens up about her motherhood struggles #breastmilk

Adaeze Igwe-Yobo has shared the story of her struggles as she suffered difficulties ranging from insufficient breast milk, Postnatal Depression, lethargy, and the pain resulting from Cesarean Section.
She shared a photo of her grinning second son and a tray containing tea and drugs that help mothers produce breast milk. In the caption, she disclosed that while some women have it easy producing breast milk, it was hard for her. She said her youngest child, who is less than 3 months old, is the only child she has breastfed for this long.

With her first son, she had to take a lot of liquid foods, yet could not produce enough breast milk for him. The food made her add weight, the stress to produce enough food for her son made her lethargic, still in all of this, not enough milk was coming and it only compounded her C-section pain. It was so bad that she and her first son cried at some point. She only breastfed him for 3 weeks. With her second son, it was the same and she had to supplement with formula. It's been easier with her daughter though she still has to take Pregnacare to aid milk production.

Below is how she told her story.

Baby no 3 is the only baby i breastfed for this long. Some have it easy and others like me drank 2large bowls of custard, took nursing tea n all and still had only 1-2oz of breastmilk, gained tons of weight and had no energy most of the time, so I gave up early cos the baby and i Cldnt deal with the stress. With my ist son, we both cried cos i was in C-sec pain, had bad PND and baby wasnt getting enough milk. to think i actually planned to breastfeed for 2years, and only did it for 3wks

2nd one I swore I wldnt even breastfeed cos of my last experience but once I had him, he latched unto the boobies like a pro so I gave in but the milk was still low at 5weeks, so i had to supplement with formula which was a bad idea cos he fell in love with the milk flow and rejected boobie.

However, with "ma piinches" (My princess) *in jaydens voice* it's been pure bliss, no PND, I'm always full of energy even though I don't get as much sleep at night. Anyway, i dont know how long I want to breastfeed for, I'll just go with the flow for now cos I like the way she looks into my eyes while nursing
