We are almost completing the first half of the year, how has it been?
It has been so wonderful. I must tell you, it has been beautiful. In fact, I can tell this year is going to be great. It has been work as usual, but good ones and better offers.
Any new thing we should expect from you?
Yes sure! I’m coming up with my own production. It’s going to be a fantastic one. I have been in some new TV series as well as some musical videos, and hopefully more are coming. As you know, I haven’t featured on a music video before, but I had that privilege this year, so it’s something I’m excited about. I have done like two now.
Are you gradually taking a dive into music?
(Laughs) I can’t say but expect the unexpected. Anything can happen, no one can tell. I might decide to give it a trial.
Obviously, this year holds better things for you
Without being told, I know this year would be far better than last year. It’s going to be awesome. I know it would surely get better before the end of the year.
Yoruba actresses seem confined within the indigenous movie circles, do you agree with that?
I do both English and Yoruba movies. I think, in my case, it’s almost the same. This year, I have done majorly English movies. I don’t think I’m confined to only indigenous movies.
You are one of the most beautiful and sought after actresses, what’s your beauty routine?
I don’t do much. I just clean my face and rub whatever I want to rub. But majorly, I take very good care of my face, especially my eyes. I do water, I do lemon and I visit the spa a lot. I don’t take those things serious but I believe that I’m blessed.
What do you do in your spare time?
I read a lot and I also watch news on TV. Whenever I’m not shooting, I try as much as possible to relax at home with family.
Talking about family, are there chances you’ll go back to your ex-husband?
(Screams) No. Never! You people have started looking for trouble again. Well, that’s all I can say. Never!
Even for the sake of your son that looks so much like his father?
Please, my son looks like me. He is my replica. So, stop saying otherwise.
When do you intend giving marriage another shot?
I don’t know. Anything can happen. But why not, indeed marriage is a beautiful thing.
What lessons did you learn from your previous marriage?
I have learnt a lot with the experience. I learnt to take things easy. Most of the things I learnt will be applied in any new relationship that I’m going into. I will also make sure I check out some qualities in that man before I go into relationship with him.
What makes you happy?
Peace! I love peace! I love when everything and everyone is at peace, it gives me extra joy. My family at peace, my friends at peace, I’m at peace, then I’m as happy as a bird.
Are you saying you lacked peace in your former marriage?
I didn’t say that oh! But I like peace a lot. When there’s no peace but troubles around me, I run.

Whitney Houston and 2pac had an affair....really...

Bobby Brown has claimed that Whitney Houston and 2pac had an affair.
In his new memoir, titled Every Little Step, he alleges his late ex and the late rapper hooked up.
"[Brown] contends that [Houston] did her 'share of cheating' with 'quite a few of the producers and artists' she worked with, and names one ex-lover, the late Tupac Shakur," The Associated Press, who received an early copy of the book, explained in a review.
The Associated Press did not share other details about the affair, but revealed Brown doesn't hold back in the memoir when it comes to his own behavior over the course of his life, including "many sexual affairs, with Janet Jackson and Madonna...his drug problems, which he says are now behind him, and his encounters with the law."

He also claimed Whitney also had a lesbian affair with her longtime assistant and friend Robyn Crawford.

On moving “StarGist” production crew from South Africa to Nigeria: There is nothing easy about moving a production from one country to another, so it was definitely the biggest career challenge I ever faced and it came at the very start of my career as well. I had to overcome so many factors – from running a business with a million dollar turn over per annum in a new space, to making a daily entertainment news show produced in Nigeria and delivered to SA a viable production. I look back at it now and I can’t believe how I was able to lead the team to do the impossible.
On ending “StarGist”: I will miss the StarGist show; it was such a major part of my life but I’m at peace that it’s ending, I think it’s had a great run. I came on board as a presenter, and grabbed the reigns when it we decided to relocate the show to Nigeria. After four years, I felt like the show was getting stale and I was actually getting bored with it; I needed a new challenge; I needed reinvention.

On her next project: I have just finished producing my own reality travel series called Miss Vimbai Travels and it is a dream come true! I travel the world with my favourite celebs and try new things! My favourite cities currently are definitely Dar Es Salaam and Cape Town! They have the best food and fantastic beaches.
On her modelling career: I had a bittersweet time as a model. I was based in Cape Town for the majority of my career and it was tough being a dark skinned black girl. Agencies would only allow 2 black girls on to their books, and even then I was always told I was too commercial to be successful. It was tough! One day you are too dark, the next day you are too commercial, then you are told to take off your weave so you can be edgy then the next moment you need the weave back in. It was tough! My top 5 rules anyone trying to go the route of modelling I will say 1. Do your research about your look and stick to it! 2. Grow a thick skin – you will attend 20 castings a month and probably only get 5 jobs out of it. 3. Develop other talents – a model’s shelf life is very short and the more versatile you are the more clients will love you. 4. Practice in front of the mirror and know your angles. 5. Just be yourself and have fun!! There is no point going through all these things if you don’t love what you do!

On staying out of controversies: I have made a choice to lead a very private life. I come from a very high profile family, and so I am aware that what I put out in the public will not only affect me – but it will affect their public images directly too. I’m human, I make mistakes and I get into trouble – but I have built a very tight knit circle around me and we manage things internally. I want to be known for my work, and my cricket gets that and respects it.
On how much of a feminist she is on a scale of 1 to 10: I’d say a 7. I think that women have the same capabilities as men and don’t need to be treated specially or differently. We just need to know our position as women and claim it. Women’s Rights are wonderful, but I feel like we offend fuel our inferiority. We need to talk less about claiming out rights and do more to foster the attitude that will get more women to go out and pursue what is rightfully theirs.
On who she is dating: My man is in the public eye, and I adore him. He is my biggest fan and just wants me to be amazing! He is supportive and prayerful, and I am sure with time you will see us together publicly. That’s all I can say for now!”

Gov. Wike Gifts 57 Brand New Cars to Serving Magistrates In Rivers State

Governor Nyesom Wike is pictured commissioning official vehicles for the 57 Magistrates serving in Rivers State. His wife Justice Eberechi Suzzette, along with other magistrates and government officials, were present at the ceremony.

Corporal Kills Inspector After Stealing N300,000.00 from His Account ---- while defecating in toilet when Tosin shot him dead with an AK-47 rifle and buried him at the back of a police barracks.

A police corporal, Daramola Tosin, in Kwara State has been arrested and sacked from the force for allegedly killing an inspector, Lateef Shuaib, after stealing N300,000.00 from the deceased.

According to the Punch, Tosin shot Shuaib,  after withdrawing up to N300,000 from Shuaib’s bank account without his permission.
Shuaib had entrusted Tosin his ATM card when he fell ill. After initially withdrawing money for the use of Shuaib ., Tosin started helping himself with money from the account. He had withdrawn N300,000.00 .
The inspector was said to be defecating in toilet when Tosin shot him dead with an AK-47 rifle and buried him at the back of a police barracks.
The victim’s sister, Sherifat Hammed, reported to the Osi Police Station on May 10, 2016, that her brother had been missing since May 6, 2010. She informed the police that she suspected Tosin because her elder brother informed her when he was sick that he entrusted his UBA ATM card to the suspect to help him withdraw money.
The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Okaula, said
We do not condone crime. We go after anyone including members of the Force who go out of their way to commit crime. We will investigate and prosecute them if found culpable and ensure we gain conviction. This particular dastardly act will not be an exception.”
The suspect was arraigned on Tuesday before a magistrate’s court in Ilorin.

The First Information Report read thus:
“Investigation conducted at the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Ilorin, revealed that on May 6 at about 10pm, while Inspector Lateef Shuaib was defecating inside the bush, very close to the barracks at the Osi Police Station, you Daramola Tosin, callously and viciously traced him to the bush and shot him with your AK-47 rifle that led to his untimely death and you later buried him inside the bush at the back of Osi Police Barracks without the knowledge of anybody.
The FIR said the offences were culpable homicide, breach of trust and theft, and were contrary to sections 221, 312 and 289 of the Penal Code.
The police prosecutor, Inspector James Odaodu, said the offence of murder was capital in nature, adding that the suspect could not be admitted to bail. He thus prayed the court to remand the suspect in prison custody.
The magistrate,  Nurudeen Adeyanju, who did not take the plea of the accused, said his court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter since it was a murder charge. He added that it should be handled by the high court.
He, however, ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Prison, Mandalla.
The case was adjourned to June 21, 2016.
