Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for president, suggests a minimum wage of at least N250,000 if elected in the general elections in 2023.
The presidential contender stated this while criticizing Peter Obi of the Labour Party for copying his concept.
Sowore claimed in a tweet that the minimum wage to which Nigerian employees are entitled to take into account both the cost of living and the purchasing power parity.
“Although they stole this idea from our 2018 campaign, this @NgLabour minimum wage idea is NOW OUTDATED-The Minimum Wage must reflect the cost of living and the purchasing power parity. We are proposing at least N250,000 minimum wage for Nigerian workers! #TakeItBack,” Sowore said.
This, however, was met with mixed reactions from citizens; some agreed to it while others condemned the idea as unattainable.

You are confused, Sowore.

Both of you are not serious lmao . When you should be focusing on how to make the Naira appreciate against the dollar , so that 30k naira will be like the 250k that you are proposing

How much are you paying your workers now?

With Per hour Salary system – #1000 per hour ( work 10 hours per day for 10 days) = #100,000. You can see how cheap the payment system has failed. With @NgLabour #ObidattiManifesto – per hour wage system 👍👍👍. Even with #500 per hour for 10 hours for 20 days in month =#100,000
