#jaiyeorie Moses Joseph was given a 37-year prison sentence by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos State Special Offenses Court in Ikeja for making a 13-year-old girl lick his manhood and sticking his finger in her privates.


Joseph was accused of indecent treatment on two counts by the Lagos State Government.
According to the prosecution, the defendant allegedly committed the crime on September 17, 2021, at or around 11 p.m. at his home on Kadiri Street 25, Alausa, Ikeja.


Henry Obidinna, the accused's attorney, begged the court to balance justice with mercy during the arraignment.
Obidinna testified in court that the defendant supported his family financially and that his younger brother passed away from shock after learning of Joseph's imprisonment.
The incident, he said, had been kept quiet.    

 

 

 Asked if he had anything to tell the court, the convict pleaded for mercy.

Delivering judgment, the court held that the state proved its case against the defendant beyond any reasonable doubt. The judge held that from available evidence, the defendant was guilty of the crime.

    “On the first count, I sentence you to seven years imprisonment. On the second count, I sentence you to 30 years imprisonment, which will run concurrently.” the judge ruled
