President Joe Biden Appoints Taraji P. Henson, Chris Paul to HBCU Advisory Board

#jaiyeorie President Joe Biden has named Taraji P. Henson and Chris Paul to his HBCU advisory group, which consists of nine men and women. The actress and sports agent have been named to the President's Board of Advisors for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, according to the White House. The board's mission is to further the HBCU Initiative's purpose, which was restored in 2021. According to the White House, the goal is to "improve the capacity of HBCUs to provide the highest-quality education to their students and continue to serve as engines of opportunity." Taraji P. Henson, who studied acting at Howard University and founded the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation in 2018, announced her new role on Instagram. Taraji captioned I am excited to announce that President Biden has appointed me to serve on his HBCU Board of Advisors. Since taking office, the President and Vice President Harris have invested $5.8 Billion in HBCUs and I look forward to working with them to continue efforts to support these important institutions. ❤️
