Nollywood actor Yul Edochie wants the system reformed or else, “hungry policemen” will continue to kill and extort innocent citizens in Nigeria. The movie star wants cops well paid and graduates in the police force. He wrote:
“We are tired of hungry policemen killing and extorting us.
Reform the system.
Pay them well.
Improve their standard of living.
Employ graduates in the police force.
Train them to love and protect the citizens.
We no do them anything.

Yul Edochie also wants a permanent end to police brutality in Nigeria along with all their excesses. The popular Nollywood actor states clearly in a social media post that everyone is afraid of the police in Nigeria unlike in civilised countries where it is only bad people that “fear” cops.

However, Pete Edochie’s son excluded the politicians and the rich who move with police escorts as the class who are not afraid of the police.
According to the thespian, policemen in Nigeria cut a figure of being angry and hungry. He wrote:

“In civilised countries, na only bad people dey fear police.
In Nigeria, everybody dey fear police, except you are a politician or rich man who moves with police escorts.
The rest of us dey fear police.
Because they come out angry, pissed off and hungry, looking for who to descend on.
We don tire.
