Wanuri Kahiu, director of the Viryan Kenyan lesbian relationship movie, Rafiki, achieved another international height, when he successfully signed a deal with Gotham Group. Shortly after his astonishing movie made a historical debut for the Cannes film festival, movie-based Los Angeles giants announced their new deal with Wanuri.
Speaking about the new deal, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, the founder of The Gotham Group, told news men that: “Wanuri Kahiu is a prodigiously talented and brilliant woman. As an advocate for Africans, especially young women, Wanuri has established herself as a major cultural force.
