“No more magic can be done”- Davido says as he shares live results of the ongoing Osun governorship election, indicating that Accord party is leading.๐Ÿ‘€

Afrobeats star Davido shared live figures from the ongoing Osun State governorship election as results were being collated, with his uncle, Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, leading at the time.

Sharing the developing figures on social media, Davido wrote: “No more magic can be done.”

The figures circulating during the collation showed Accord ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as results from polling units were being uploaded and announced.

At one stage, an aggregation of verified polling-unit results showed Accord with 222,586 votes against APC's 173,003, although only part of the state's polling units had reported at that point.

The election was closely watched because Adeleke was seeking another term as Osun governor, while APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji was his major challenger.

Davido had been actively following the election and publicly commenting on developments as results emerged.

His latest post appeared to reflect his reaction to the figures being reported in real time, but live results should not be confused with the final declaration by INEC.

The eventual official result was declared the following day. Adeleke, running under Accord, received 511,067 votes, while Oyebamiji of APC received 444,815 votes. INEC declared Adeleke the winner after the state collation.

The final figures gave Adeleke a 66,252-vote margin.

When election results are still coming in, do you follow the live numbers closely — or wait for INEC's final declaration before believing any result?
