Mihlali Ndamase has once again found herself at the centre of dating speculation — and this time, social media has been keeping receipts.
The South African influencer was dragged into a January 2026 gossip storm after reports alleged that she was romantically involved with two men at the same time: Nigerian businessman Clem Kileh and Zimbabwean businessman Nigel Sakala. Both men were reportedly married, although the claims surrounding the alleged relationships were not independently established.
Months later, another name entered the conversation: Nigerian footballer Tolu Arokodare.
The first chapter began in January when gossip reports claimed Mihlali had spent time with Nigerian businessman Clem Kileh at Johannesburg’s Saxon Hotel.
At around the same period, social-media reports also linked her to Zimbabwean businessman Nigel Sakala after the two were allegedly seen together at Sandton club Louis.
The combination quickly produced the headline that Mihlali was allegedly dating two married men simultaneously.
Mihlali did not publicly confirm those relationships.
An old clip from her appearance on Showmax's Unfollowed was subsequently dragged back into the conversation.
In the clip, Mihlali was asked why she dated a married man. Her response was:
She continued by arguing that it was the man who had chosen to pursue another relationship while still married.
That old answer suddenly had a new audience.
Social-media users were divided.
One commenter defended her position, arguing that the person who is married should carry the primary responsibility for what happens inside the marriage. Others were far less sympathetic, with one simply writing:
Another commenter accused her of damaging her own brand, while another argued that she should have simply said she dates the person she connects with rather than appearing to justify dating married men.

The images and videos immediately revived romance speculation that had actually existed between the pair since 2025.
But there was already a very important piece of history.
In 2025, after social media users began linking him to Mihlali, Tolu pushed back publicly.
“I’m single, y’all; please stop abeg. These posts about me are false.”
That was his position at the time.
So when the pair appeared together in Monaco a year later, the internet naturally started asking a different question:
Neither Mihlali nor Tolu publicly confirmed that they were in a relationship.
Monaco changed the conversation
The Monaco appearance was different from a random rumour because there was actual visual evidence of the two being in the same place.
Mihlali was documenting her luxury Monaco getaway, while Tolu also shared content from the Grand Prix weekend. Their appearance together on a yacht became the newest piece of evidence for people trying to decode their relationship.
Then Tolu's former partner, Dubai-based influencer Pam Mlunjwana, entered the conversation.
On June 9, Pam addressed the renewed speculation on Instagram Stories and videos, saying she was tired of being dragged into the narrative surrounding Tolu and Mihlali.
She made several allegations about Mihlali, including claims concerning their alleged Dubai history and Mihlali's luxury-content image. Those claims remain allegations, and Mihlali did not publicly confirm Pam's version of events.
Shortly after Pam's posts circulated, Mihlali and Tolu unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Mihlali's mother also reportedly unfollowed Tolu.
So, was Mihlali actually dealing with two men?
There were January allegations linking Mihlali to Clem Kileh and Nigel Sakala at the same time. There was later June speculation involving Tolu Arokodare after their Monaco yacht appearance.
But that timeline does not establish that Mihlali was simultaneously dating two men — or that any of the alleged relationships existed in the form social media claimed.
What it does establish is something more interesting about celebrity culture: once a person develops a public dating narrative, every new photograph, hotel sighting, luxury item, Instagram follow and unfollow becomes evidence for a story the person may never have actually told.
Mihlali has been here before.
Her relationship with businessman Leeroy Sidambe was intensely scrutinised, and in 2023 she explained that she did not see herself as responsible for waiting for a man's marriage to end. She also rejected the idea that she dated for money, saying:
“There’s a lot of men with money in the world. But do they respect women?”
That quote is resurfacing because people are now reading today's dating rumours through yesterday's Mihlali narrative.
And perhaps that's the real story.
Mihlali doesn't have to confirm every man she is photographed with for the internet to build a relationship timeline around her.
Perhaps the photograph is real.
The romance is the assumption.
And the unfollow becomes the plot twist.
