Three years after his 43-year-old death from colon cancer, Chadwick Boseman is scheduled to get a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The well-liked actor, who is best known for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019, was revealed to be one of the famous people who will be inscribed on the iconic site in 2024. The landmark is expected to draw 10 million tourists a year.

Michelle Yeoh, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Christina Ricci, Ken Jeong, Kerry Washington, Gwen Stefani, and Eugene Levy, as well as Mario Lopez and Sheryl Lee Ralph, are more celebrities who will reach this professional milestone in 2019.

The news was revealed in a press statement issued on Monday by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Panel.

‘The Selection Committee, which is made up of fellow Walk of Famers, carefully hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world,’ said Chair and Walk of Fame, Ellen K, in a press release.

She continued: ‘The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!’

Fans expressed their joy that Boseman was selected to receive the honor on social media.

‘Oh my ❤️ – I’m already crying thinking of the ceremony for Chadwick. And yay for Michelle [Yeoh]!’ one gushed.

Another gushed: ‘Congrats to my favorite actor Chadwick and everyone else who will be receiving walk of fame 2024.’

‘As one of the best actors I have ever seen, he definitely deserves it. I miss this man. Even though I never knew him. RIP,’ a third tweeted.
