3 Nigerian Women Who Made It To The 2018 Facebook Community Leadership Program

Of the 100 groups representing 46 countries from around the world, Anike Lawal, Dr. Ojombo Gbemisola Boyede and Grandma Omolola are among the 14 African who have been selected for this program.

Facebook described as aspiring leaders developing meaningful communities and connections, both online and offline, these women would receive training, support and funding to advance further positive social impact.

These women will be awarded up to $ 50,000 for their various community efforts.

ANIKE LAWAL, the founder of MAMALETTE

Mamalette is a health-based community with a strong network of “Mamalette Champions” trained in specific areas of healthcare. The group’s 180,000 members and volunteers help the community with healthcare issues.
Lola Omolola, the founder of FEMALE IN (FIN)

Female IN (FIN) is a global judgement-free space for women (predominantly African) which is focused on building compassion, providing support and nurturing the power of self-expression. With a current membership of more than 1.7 million women, FIN has held events in more than 80 cities worldwide.
Ojombo Gbemisola Boyede, the founder of ASK THE PEDIATRICIANS
Ask the Pediatricians grew out of the passion to reduce infant mortality rate from preventable causes rooted in ignorance, misinformation and dangerous myths about child health. Gbemi is a pediatrician who gives health education and information to the parents in the group.
