Taylor Swift will be starring alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, David Washington, etc, in the new David O. Russel film.
The singer joins the cast of the new regency project which will see Russell direct from his own script, his first time in the director’s seat since 2015’s Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Though details around the plot and title of the new film are being kept under wraps, THR reports that production has wrapped up in Los Angeles and 20th Century Studios will release the project at a yet to be announced date.
The film marks Swift’s first onscreen role since 2019’s Cats, playing Bombalurina in the Universal adaption of the Andrew Lloyd Webber stage musical.
Her other acting credits include Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day and the adaptation of the young adult classic The Giver, starring Meryl Streep.
