DPR, Oyo Govt Seal 7 Fuel Stations In Ibadan

The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, with the Oyo State Government have sealed off 7 filling stations within Ibadan city owing to their refusal to sell petroleum products to members of the public.

The service stations were sealed yesterday by a joint task force of the DPR, the Oyo State Government and Nigeria's Civil Security and Defense Corps, NSCDC. The team had toured the city to charge the price per pump N145 per liter and verify the hoarding of products.  Mr. Sadiq Ibrahim, deputy controller of the DPR in the Oyo State Office, told reporters that the essence of the control exercise was to check the hoarding of the product and raise the price.  The sealed stations were Kesbash Oil Nigeria Limited, SWORT Oil & Gas, Oduwoye Global Services Ltd., JOSFRAD International Venture, ROYLAB International Venture and BALEY Nigeria Limited.
