Mary Edris, who says she is the man's wife, accused Irewole of having a relationship with her husband for about three years and called her a “home wrecker.”
Irewole acknowledged that she dated the man, but says she didn't know he was married when they dated and ended things when she found out. She disputes the wife's account of how long the relationship continued.
September 2024: Mary alleges Irewole travelled to South Africa with her husband.
October 3, 2026: Mary publicly accused Irewole of a three-year relationship with her husband and called her a “home wrecker.” She said she had previously confronted Irewole privately.
Mary also shared alleged screenshots of conversations with Irewole. Those screenshots have not been independently verified.
October 3–4, 2026: Irewole responded, acknowledging that she had gone on dates with the man but saying she did not know he was married and ended things after discovering his marital status.
The real dispute may not be whether Irewole knew the man. She acknowledges dating him. The disputed question is when she knew he was married—and what happened after she knew.
Irewole's version is therefore fundamentally different from Mary's: Mary describes an ongoing three-year affair; Irewole describes a few dates that ended when she learned he was married.
The issue isn't whether she knowingly continued seeing a married man—is disputed.
She has been accused of being a homewrecker, but the available reporting does not establish that as fact.
A woman accuses Irewole Olaniyan of breaking up her marriage. Irewole says she walked away when she discovered he was married. So what actually happened?
