On October 6, 2026, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Lagos governor, visited Pastor Bolaji Idowu of Harvesters International Christian Centre. He also met with Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr and Pastor Steve Ogah.
For the Harvesters visit, Rhodes-Vivour publicly thanked Pastor Bolaji Idowu for his “warm welcome and audience.” He specifically recommended the pastor's message on family and relationship building, particularly for people seeking stronger relationships.
When public figures step into spaces of faith, how much should we read into it—and how much should simply be left as personal?
Is this simply a personal faith visit, or part of a wider effort by the 2027 Lagos hopeful to build relationships with influential religious leaders?
