Toyin Lawani has called out Euracare, a Lagos-based hospital over alleged complications she experienced following a surgical procedure at the facility.
The businesswoman and CEO of Tiannah Empire called out the hospital on Sunday in a series of posts on her Instagram page.
Narrating her experience, the mother of three stated that she visited the private clinic for “spine surgery” but lost the use of her legs and had lung infection after spending almost N100 million at the hospital.
While threatening to sue the hospital when she’s strong, she wrote:
“Euracare Hospital your cup is finally full, shebi I told you people I don’t have your time yet.
Don’t worry just wait for me. I’m coming.
“Every time i say if U hv health issues in Nigeria & you make it out Alive just thank your stars,
They feel the comment is to berate Nigerian hospitals,
I saw one mumu person saying trash about me last week all cause I was speaking from experience, I just ignored,
U go spend close to 100m for hospital & them go still mismanage your health,
They thought I was joking when I said I was going to sue,
But I said they should just wait, when I’m stronger ✌️,
Most of this hospitals just front with white people & the after care is shii✌️
Still suffering the consequences from euracare right now π€ na another thing u go find go there, na another thing dem go carry put for ur hand ,
I kept Asking myself why I did my spine surgery implant in Nigeria,
Till today I still can’t speak well or walk well,
I had complications started bleeding in my lungs ,
Had to be taken back into the theatre the next day ,
To reoperate again, before i know i stopped breathing,
They had to puncture my lungs & they destroyed my vocal cords ,
I remember a night I was given 2 injections & my heart seized like seriously guys i couldn’t breathe,
π€@prettydammy2 @segun_wealth witnessed it ,
her hubby had to threaten them,
Wo the trauma I faced in that hospital for months I still can’t get over it till date ,
I’m Still in & out of hospital till date due to this,
They won’t even care if it’s their mismanagement, U will still pay.
I lost the use of my two legs after I was sent home & I ended up back in that hospital again ,
I had to call the ent doc in UK,
He then told them to operate for the 3rd time to take the tracheotomy tube out from my lungs and see if I can breathe myself without it,
Wo after that surgery, I was on next flight d next day to UK with my family,
When I got here, the doctors told me i had to redo another surgery again & said
I had infection in my lungs,
When they showed me the big lumps they brought out after, I was in shock π³
U mean after 3 surgeries in that same hospital back to back , yet i still had to hv another one when I got to uk,
Its just so shameful,
See the statement is not said Enough
o if u hv health issues in Nigeria if you have your money RUNNNNNNN Oπ€
#KOFπΈ.”
She added:
“PART2 of WHAT MY EYE SAW AT EURACARE ✌️π€
PART3 is coming ✌️
I did 2months in total there and a month in Rehabilitation center ,
Cause I lost the use of my hands and legs ,
Also had bedsore π₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή
I had to learn how to walk again ,
Speak again ,
Bath myself again ,
And I’m still in therapy for speaking till now .
When I tell people I’m dealing with trauma they don’t understand me at all,
This traumatic experience changed my whole entire life completely,
How I see things or even people.
I just appreciate life more and tend to let go of so many things cause wo your life can just go in a sec ✌️
NIGERIAS HEALTH CARE SYSTEM NEEDS REGULATION
Anybody from abroad can have money and come open hospital in Nigeria as a business & do as they wish.
They will use international standard to lure clients.
I have proof to show I came out from my surgery without no hole in my lungs and if @segun_wealth didn’t raise alarm about the swollen neck they wouldn’t still notice,
It was after then I noticed I had difficulty breathing.
Till now I still need a walking stick to support myself,
Wo the story of that hospital is long o .
I just had to first save my life ,
I promised them when I’m well and sound they will hear from me,
But seeing @chimamanda_adichie story today triggered me to speak up,
So that so many people can be saved ππππ
When I said I spent almost 100m I wasn’t joking. I still have my receipts from Euracare .
Euracare is like a business center ,
Most of the doctors there are not even permanent doctors,
They come perform surgeries and go ✌️

Lawani broke her silence after renowned author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, accused the same hospital of medical negligence that resulted in her 21-month-old son’s death on Wednesday.
Reacting to Chimamanda Adichie’s allegation, the Lagos state government ordered a full investigation into the incident.
