Jayda Cheaves was accused of stealing the swimsuit design of a fellow black woman designer whose designs she previously wore and was paid to promote.

A friend of C. Elizabeth, who hand created floral inspired swimsuits in her brand Eau Noir Swim, went off about Jayda openly stealing the design.

 Jayda admitted she put the design on her mood board for her new swim collection for Waydamin brand and said people do the same to her. She said she was simply using the design as inspo and adding her own touch to it. After some reflection, though, she backtracked and said she shouldn’t do this to others. And that she’s dropping the design from her line.
