Manuel Neuer, the goalkeeper for Germany, has admitted that he had to have surgery and was previously treated for skin cancer.
In a video promoting a new skincare line with former top-ranked tennis player Angelique Kerber, Neuer claimed that he has a scar close to his nose and that "I had to be operated on three occasions and I had skin cancer there."
The 2014 World Cup champion for Germany, Neuer, omitted the date of the surgeries.
Last year, the goalkeeper for Bayern Munich could be seen with a plaster covering the injured area.
The shoulder issue has prevented the 36-year-old Neuer from playing since October 8 ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
He might play again on Saturday when Bayern takes on Hertha, according to Bayern.
