Sanwo-Olu increases Students’ Bursary by 100%

#jaiyeorie Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, has approved a 100% increase in bursaries payable to students of Lagos State origin in tertiary institutions across the country beginning with the 2022/2023 academic session.

Mr. Abdul-Rahaman Lekki, Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, disclosed this during a meeting with representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Lagos State Chapter and the National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS) at the Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja.

Speaking at a meeting convened at the request of the Special Adviser on Education, Tokunbo Wahab, with executive members of NANS and NULAS, Lekki stated that the 100% bursary increment and other benefits were intended to support the educational needs of students of Lagos State origin in coping with the challenges of the state.
