Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, has announced the release of his fifth studio album, More Love, Less Ego, on August 5, 2022.
On Wednesday morning, the Grammy Award-winning musician announced the news on his Instagram Story.
After posting a teaser on his Instagram story, the Afrobeat artist announced a few of the artists who would be included on his upcoming album.
He thanked Ayra Starr, Naira Marley, Ty Dolla $ign, Skepta, and BNXN formerly known as Buju for their contributions to his next release.
The founder of Star Boy Records did not disclose if these are the only artists who will be featured on his future project.
Making the announcement on Wednesday morning, Wizkid wrote:
Big Up Naira/Skep/Ayra/Ty/Flame/ #See you 5/8.
Despite this, the Afrobeat legend has yet to release a song this year.
Wizkid's recent revelation coincides with the success of his fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, which was released in October 2022.
On the album, Damian Marley, Tems, Ella Mai, Terri, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Burna Boy, Skepta, and H.E.R. collaborated with a number of international and local artists, including Damian Marley, Tems, Ella Mai, Terri, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Burna Boy, Skepta, and H.E.R.
On the deluxe edition of the album, Wizkid teamed with Justin Bieber and BNXN fka Buju, and the album was nominated for 'Best Global Album' at the 64th Grammy Awards.
