All governmental and private institutions in the state of Ondo are required to install closed-circuit television on their property by August 1, 2022, or sooner.
As a step to combat insecurity in the state, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has ordered CCTV to be put in every public and private establishments around the state.
The governor stated that any institution that disobeyed the order will be closed down in a statement made by Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters.
The statement read, “In furtherance of his tireless commitment to strengthen the security architecture of the state toward securing lives and property of the good people of Ondo State, Mr.
Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, recently issued an Executive Order making it mandatory for all public places, financial institutions, restaurants, hotels and other lodging facilities, beer – parlors / bars, night clubs ,educational institutions and religious worship centers in all the 18 local government areas of the state to have functional video surveillance/ CCTV equipment installed in strategic locations within their premises.

The suspect retired from the Administration Police in 2011. She is running for the Nairobi Women Representative seat on the Usawa Party ticket.
She persisted in acting like a legitimate police officer, even appearing for media interviews while donning a complete police uniform in Persian blue.
After receiving a tip that a female interviewee was donning a police uniform, the policemen who detained Gitau promptly set out to corroborate their suspicions.

Governor Abiodun will pay for school administrators and teachers to travel to Germany for a research tour.
This is in line with his efforts to improve the human capital development of his technical and vocational college instructors.
The State Government has finally finalized its proposal to support a study visit to Germany for eight principals and 11 instructors from all of the Government Science and Technical Colleges.
The move was motivated by the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration's determination to continually train and retrain its personnel with the goal of connecting them with best global practice, according to Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical and Vocational Education.
He exhorted the attendees to repay the government's significant investment by serving as good representatives of the nation.
He stated that the tour was carried out in conjunction with the German Agency for International Development (GIZ) and that it was scheduled to last two to four weeks for principals and instructors, respectively. He added that the knowledge gained during the tour would be applied to the growth of the industry and the promotion of better delivery.

Chris Pratt has opened up about how hard he has taken the vile criticisms he has faced from people on social media.
In a new interview with Men’s Health, the actor spoke about the harsh criticism he faced last year, after people accused him of dissing his previous wife Anna Faris and their son, who was born with health issues.
Recall that he had posted a photo of his current wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, thanking her for giving him “a gorgeous healthy daughter.”
People found the caption tasteless, with many assuming he was mocking his son with Faris, Jack, who was born premature and has suffered health complications as a result.
“I said something like, ‘Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me,’” Pratt recalled. “And then I gave her some shit in the thing and said, ‘But I love you. I’m so thankful for my wife—she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.’ And then a bunch of articles came out and said, ‘That’s so cringeworthy. I can’t believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That’s such a dig at his ex-wife.’”
Pratt continued, “And I’m like, That is fucked up. My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s nine. And it’s etched in digital stone. It really fucking bothered me, dude. I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are—to the people close to me—a real burden.”

# Due to the high demand for air travel during the Hajj, Emirates is adding more flights to provide better connection for the large number of pilgrims traveling to Makkah.
During the approaching Hajj season, Emirates will run special flights to Jeddah and Medina to transport pilgrims during this auspicious time.
From 23 June to 20 July, Emirates will operate 31 extra flights to Jeddah and twice daily flights to Medina to assist with the transportation of pilgrims in order to uphold one of the major tenets of Islam.
The usual scheduled services of Emirates will coexist with these services.
Nearly a million pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the Hajj this year, a significant increase.
Emirates has had high demand this year.
This year, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Turkey, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malaysia, the UK, US, UAE, and Algeria have all shown a significant interest in traveling to the Hajj, according to Emirates.
Travelers with an active Hajj visa are eligible for the special services.
Additionally, pilgrims must be under 65, possess a current vaccination record for a shot approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, and have a negative PCR test result from a test taken within 72 hours of their departure.

In order to combat hyperinflation, Zimbabwe's central bank increased its benchmark interest rate by more than 200 percent on Monday, making it the highest rate in the world.
Fears of a return to the hyperinflationary period of 2008, when savings were completely wiped out, increased when annual inflation more than doubled in just two months to hit 191 percent in June.
After expressing "grave concern" about the recent spike in inflation, the bank's governing body made the astronomical interest rate increase public in a statement.
“The committee noted that the increase in inflation was undermining consumer demand and confidence and that, if not controlled, it would reverse the significant economic gains achieved over the past two years,” bank governor John Mangudya said.
The benchmark interest rate last increased from 60 percent to 80 percent in April.As gasoline and food prices have risen in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and supply chain disruptions, central banks throughout the world have begun raising rates to combat inflation.
Zimbabwe is experiencing a severe economic downturn.
The local currency has also had significant setbacks; Bloomberg reports that it has lost more than two thirds of its value this year alone, making it one of the continent's poorest performing currencies.

Despite years of allegations of sexual misbehavior, American musician R. Kelly had long avoided jail time. On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for racketeering and other offenses.
Additionally, according to the prosecution, he utilized his fame and fortune to seduce young girls and boys as well as ladies for sex.
With his Brooklyn sentencing, Mr. Kelly, 55, completes a remarkable descent from being the king of R&B and a blockbuster hitmaker to an ostracized performer with a marred artistic legacy.
It should be remembered that the disgraced musician was found guilty in 2021 of decades-long sexual abuse of women, boys, and girls.

Popular rapper JJC Skillz, also known as Abdulrasheed Bello, and his wife, the actress Funke Akindele, have made their separation public.
The 45-year-old revealed this on his own Instagram page, noting that the previous two years had been quite challenging for them.
He added that up until this point, they had not had the chance to talk about their relationship's future because his wife requested that he leave the house three months earlier, which he did.
Twin boys were a gift to their matrimony.
This comes after numerous reports about their marital disputes and tensions circulated.
Captioning the post, he wrote:
“Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. Russia has placed an entry ban on the family of United States President, Joe Biden.
The Foreign Ministry in Moscow said this on Tuesday.
Biden’s wife, Jill and daughter, Ashley, would no longer be allowed to travel to Russia.
Recall that Biden and Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, as well as hundreds of lawmakers, are already on the blacklist.
The Foreign Ministry said Russia had in total placed new bans on 25 U.S. nationals, including well-known Prof. Francis Fukuyama, for having taken “Russophobic” positions.
The U.S. and Canada had added two adult daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin to their sanctions list in the wake of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of Stella Achebe and her company, Infinite Favour Nigeria Limited.
She was convicted by Justice S.S. Ogunsanya of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos for offences bordering on issuance of dud cheques, contrary to Section 1(1)(b) of the Dishonoured Cheques (Offences) Act 2004, and obtaining credit by fraud contrary to Section 313(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
The defendant was arraigned on an amended four-count charge dated February 27, 2015.
One of the charges reads: “Stella Achebe and Infinite Favour Nigeria Limited sometime in April 2013 at Lagos, within the Ikeja Judicial Division knowingly issued a Diamond Bank cheque dated 30th April, 2013 for the sum of N10 million only payable to Leinadibanie Nigeria Limited through its Director, Daniel Ebinoh, which when presented for payment within three months of issuance was dishonoured on the grounds that no funds or insufficient funds were standing to your credit in the account at the bank on which the cheque was drawn.”
Another charge reads: “Stella Achebe, sometime in 2012 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court by false pretence fraudulently obtained the sum of N20, 950,000 credit for yourself and Infinite Favour Nigeria Limited from Leinadibanie Nigeria Limited through its Director, Daniel Ebinoh and thereby incurred a debt or liability to Leinadibanie Nigeria Limited in the said sum of money.”
In the course of the trial, the prosecuting counsel, G.C. Akaogu, called four witnesses and tendered several documentary evidence to prove the case against the defendants.
The prosecution through the witnesses revealed that the defendant had
only N3,129.77 in her account as at the time she issued the cheques for
the said amount.
The prosecution also presented evidence to prove that the defendant
merely obtained the said money by false pretence as she was not into oil
and gas business as she claimed.
The defendant, who said she was a lawyer called to the Nigeria Bar in 2002, also took to the dock to defend herself, claiming that she was into oil and gas business.
She had claimed that the money obtained from her victim who petitioned the EFCC was for the supply of automotive gas oil, AGO, from MRS.
However, in the course of trial, the defendant stopped coming to court, and continued to absent in court.
The Judge further held that the prosecution through its witnesses and documents tendered, “proved by cogent, credible and convincing evidence beyond every reasonable doubt”, all the charges filed against her, and so found her and her company “guilty as charged”.
Following her conviction, Justice Ogunsanya adjourned sentencing “till when the defendant is produced”

A policy statement on safe pregnancy termination has been released by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Health.
The "Lagos State Guidelines on Safe Termination of Pregnancy for Legal Indications" policy paper, which is 40 pages long, outlines best practices for legal pregnancy termination in Lagos State.
While therapeutic pregnancy termination is permitted by law in Lagos State, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Health, presented and launched the document at a stakeholders' engagement.
The necessity to provide evidence-based data and information for health workers in the public and private sectors who have the required skills and training to provide safe care, he said, led to the creation of the policy document.
Ogboye said, “In 2011, the Lagos State House of Assembly updated the criminal code, providing for abortion to save the life and protect the physical health of the woman. While physical health is covered under the Lagos legal framework, services conforming to the law have not been available in Lagos State health sector.
“This document provides information on relevant laws applicable in Lagos State while providing standards and best practices with regards to legal indications, pre and post-procedure care, methods and monitoring. I must state here that this document has undergone wide consultation with relevant technical stakeholders within the legal and health service context in the State.”

The couple first arrived at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center Tuesday morning for some sort of health issue Barker was experiencing, according to TMZ.
The outlet reports that the medical staff at West Hills felt the musician needed additional care, so he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai.
At 10:45 a.m. local time — seemingly amid his medical emergency — the rocker tweeted, “God save me.”
Reps for Barker and Kardashian did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
It’s been a rocky few weeks of marriage for the lovebirds, as Kardashian just recently made a full recovery from her second stint with COVID-19.
