Over 5,000 students have signed the petition to prevent controversial rapper 6ix9ine from performing at the University of Central Florida.
According to a report one of ABC’s local news affiliates, the petition was launched by the UCF student Noemi Teutsch following reports that the rapper, who was convicted for using a child in a sexual performance, would be performing in the campus’ CFE Arena on September 22.
Teutsch said that every effort to have the concert canceled has failed. “People are just as outraged as I am, if not more,” she explained. “Universities are supposed to be upholding certain moral standards and certain values. I just can’t believe someone like this would be considered on a university campus.”
She continued, explaining why she launched the petition. “As far as I’m concerned, they are endorsing and they are condoning his behavior because they’re allowing him to come on campus to perform,” she added. “I honestly think it’s ridiculous. It makes no sense whatsoever. Because at some point, you have to draw the line somewhere.”
Neither 6ix9ine, who is due to be sentenced in October, nor the school had yet to react to this as at press time.GOSSIP ABOUT JAIYEORIE TO THE NEXT PERSON Tell A Friend about Jaiyeorie FOLLOW Instagram - Jaiyeorie Facebook - jaiyeorie Weddings - jaiyeorieweddings Advertise/ send gist to us - jaiyenews@gmail.com ... spill TEA Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
