Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso's ranking is the best state university in Nigeria. A statement from the Head of Public Affairs of the institution, Lekan Fadeji, said that Webometric's latest ranking, which puts the Institution as the 14th general in the country and 3680 in the World, proves that despite the detrimental effects of the industrial crisis, LAUTECH's leadership position with its colleagues remains unavoidable. In the reaction to the news, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin, has expressed its promise of management to ensure that the current financial position of the Institution is not allowed to affect its decision to train human eggheads in various future space technologies. He added that the Governing Council, headed by Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, assures that whatever university needs to stay above will be encouraged.
