Governor Ahmed Promises More Resources To Health Sector

Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara said the state government will continue to dedicate more resources to the health sector to meet the health care of indigens.

Ahmed found it on Tuesday in Ilorin, at the inauguration of the distribution of free hearing aids for hearing impaired people in the state. The Nigeria Press Agency (NAN) states that the distribution was based on the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation and the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Ahmeda was represented by the state health commissioner Alhaji Sulaiman Alege. He said the distribution of hearing aids was followed by early exercise in July, with fewer than 600 patients reserved for hearing aids.


Ahmed praised the foundations of his humanitarian efforts, adding that the initiative would make life worthy of the users. The governor urged users to pay attention to hearing aids to maximize their value for the money spent by the government and the government. State Secretary of State, Alhaji Isiak Gold, said the state government had earlier rescued some of its Green Legacy Resort officials from Olusegun Obasanjo, Abeokuta, Ogun State for training programs. He explained that the program was in mind to find the necessary help to people with hearing problems. In his remarks, Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation Director Olalekan Makinde said the program was part of the Foundation's effort to touch lives across the African continent. Makinde praised the government and other partners in providing hearing aids for people with hearing impairments in the state.
