An accident with a blue Toyota Corolla and a silver Nissan Xterra took place today at the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge, but the passengers in both cars survived miraculously with minor injuries. According to witnesses, silver was passing speed along the bridge shortly after leaving the customs gate when it failed to break, Toyota Corolla hit the front and summersaulted. Nissan, driven by a uniformed soldier, had eight residents, while Toyota allegedly had four residents. The soldier had a cut on the forehead and it blew. A female passenger was on the spot, too weak to move and complained about pain. Her jaw was visibly raised, but otherwise there was no damage to her body. Other passengers seemed OK but shocked. Food security officials were on earth to help the victims while waiting for emergency services to arrive. The accident occurred between 5.00pm and 5:30 p.m.
