Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue said Monday that the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) was ineffective in its business. Ortom told newspeople at Benue People's House in Makurdi that the agency over the years had proven to be ineffective and should step up. The governor responded to reports that the agency had assumed responsibility for the repairs performed on the Makurdi / Lafia road that had collapsed as a result of an ecological disaster that hit the road. He said that anyone who claims to have repaired the road from the agency had lied as FERMA's sign was visible at the repair site. "Over the years, the agency has proven to be ineffective, telling me what they've done. It's not right for them to assume responsibility. "The one who claims FERMA's responsibility to repair that road is a liar because it has been repaired in the Benue state instance through Triacta, currently constructing Mobile Barracks Road. "I instructed the commissioner for works to get any of the contractors to work in the state to complete the repairs, Triacta and CGGC were contacted. "Because of Triasa's proximity to the area that was damaged, they quickly entered and performed the repairs as their social responsibility." Ortom expressed surprise that FERMA claimed that they repaired that road and said it was not true. "We have also repaired another federal road in Gboko opposite the Amaco Hotel, are they also responsible for it?" He asked. "They should come to Benue State, and I will show them where to go and repair roads." Similarly, Fagbohun Akin, assistant project engineer of Triacta Construction Company, confirmed the company's projects in Nasarawa and Benue State, Ortom. "It was the commissioner of works in Benue State who called us and we had to call our MD and he was the one who instructed us to move to this site, not FERMA," he said.Did You ❤ ❤ this post?
