Jyoti Matharoo and her sister Kiran have been remanded in prison until they meet their bail conditions.o be remanded in Kirikiri if they don't bail condition Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo were at Yaba Chief magistrate court today to face charges of cyber bullying, blackmail and extortion. The sisters, who are Canadian citizens were arrested about two weeks ago after it was discovered that they are allegedly part owners of notorious website NaijaGistLive.com. A phone number used in making business transaction for NaijaGistLive was traced to the sisters at their room at Eko Hotel, and when police searched their phones and iPad, they found evidence linking them to the site that have over the years extorted the very rich. . . The sisters were arraigned and their plea taken. They pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned to January 26th, 2017. The judge gave them bail conditions but if they don't meet it, they will be remanded in court till January 26th, 2017
According to

the sisters were charged to court today for allegedly being the
co-owners of the controversial blog Naijagistlive which was famous for
writing scorching pieces about Nigerian rich men. They allegedly also
extorted money from rich folks who did not want their dirty linens in
public, and put on blast those who refused to part with some dollars.
One of the ‘victims’ who had been written so much about was Musa
Danjuma, after he allegedly dated Jyoti.
They were busted after authorities traced the IP address of the
blog to the Lagos hotel they were lodged in, and now they have been
charged to court after they wrote terse pieces on the Otedola family.
The sisters confirmed they are the culprits in signed affidavits, stating they will never return to Nigeria.

The
sister reportedly have made written confessions to owning the blog
alongside blogger Baudex NG, and also apologised to Otedola for
attempting to blackmail him. If they are found guilty, they could face
up to 4 years in prison.
