37-years-old Nollywood actress  Mercy Aigbe Gentry speaks on why her first marriage ended .
According to the interview she granted the Vanguard newspaper in 2012, she said, “I had a mother-in-law who didn’t like where I come from. She didn’t like the fact that her son didn’t marry from their village. She made me go through hell. At a point when I couldn’t takr it anymore, I left the marriage.”
Married for seven years now, Mercy in a recent interview with ENCOMIUM said
Asked how she would describe the journey so far, she said, ” It has been cool and it’s been God all the way. Before I got into it, I had actually made up my mind that come what may, I was going to stay married. Although, I wouldn’t say there weren’t some challenges along the way, I am just being focused. And I have been praying about it and God has just been helping me. So, its been God all the way.
