A lady had an accident at the newly opened Giwa Gardens Water Park in Lagos. The owner, Keji Giwa, reached out to her in her comments saying:
“ This is Keji Giwa here, owner at Giwa Gardens. I spoke to you when you had the incident and made sure vou saw the medical team right away.First of all we will like to sincerely apologise your experience and i had to go watch the CCTV and yes you are right that you held on tight to the floating foam protector however you let go as soon as you landed which caused you to hurt your lips. The instructions is to keep holding it even when you land in the pool as we followed the guidelines for the slides. We chose to add an extra floating foam protector and the life guard’s instruct you hold on to it, even when you land in the pool.Nonetheless, what happened should never have happened and as a result we will investigate how make sure customers never drop the floating foam protector once they hit the water.We value you as a customer and more than happy to give you a free premium ticket on your next visit with food & drinks included.Please feel free to reach out to us if you need anything”The Lagos State Safety Commission has also responded, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols and temporarily closing the slide in question.
