After a close friend attempted to prevent him from landing a gig, Timi Dakolo just learned a very important lesson.


The musician recalled that in the room where the choice was being made, strangers stood at his side as his gee continued to obstruct the action by attempting to dissuade people from hiring him.


Dakolo observed that this nameless buddy obstructed him from obtaining the bag with such vehemence that one of the other guests had to leave the room to inquire if he had an issue with the individual, to which he responded that he did not.


Timi Dakolo claimed that after getting the job, he encountered this acquaintance during a sound check who inquired about his wife and wonderful children and even dropped a few names.
