I can’t date anyone below my tax bracket anymore- make-up artiste Anita Brows says Make-up artiste and ex-wife of actor Emmanuel Ikubese, Anita Adetoye aka Anita Brows, says she can no longer date anyone below her tax bracket.

Speaking in a recent interview, Anita opined that most Nigerian men go after women who appear to be doing well for themselves. She mentioned that a lot of Nigerian men know how to ''pad things up'' so well that a woman can get into a relationship with them and then fall in love. She said that love alone cannot be used to enter a relationship. '

She said,

“Being a Nigeria, I have learnt that a lot of men go after women that look like they are doing well and her making more.

Men aspire to be with women like that, even though they are doing well themselves.

Nigerian me know how to package themselves to make you fall for them.

Dating within your tax bracket? For me, anything below, I can’t. I can’t really do that anymore. I feel like I have dated someone because I thought they were levelling up in their life, but it was just a facade”.

Many believed that Anita was hinting at the cause of her marital break-up.

The marriage of Emmanuel Ikubese and Anita Adetoye met a snag just over a year after they were wed in a traditional ceremony.

The couple was teasing details about their love story up until their wedding.

Their marriage ended after a year, thus things didn't last.

On Instagram, the pair unfollowed one another and erased their wedding photos.
