 The outcome of Saturday's governorship election in Osun State added to the Adeleke family's record in Nigerian politics.



Following Senator Ademola Adeleke's election victory, the Adelekes became the first family in Osun State and Nigeria to produce three senators and two governors.

According to official records, Davido's grandpa, Senator Chief Raji Ayoola Adeleke, was a Nigerian politician and senator in the second republic who represented Osun State Senatorial District 11.

Late Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, Davido's uncle, was a two-term Nigerian senator who represented Osun State from 2007 to 2011.
He was also the state's governor.
