Ronaldo stars as United beat Brentford

#jaiyeorie  Manchester United's hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Europa League were boosted with a 3-0 victory over Brentford on Monday night. Cristiano Ronaldo was on target once again.


United's biggest win under Ralf Rangnick came in their final home encounter of the season, with goals from Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo, and Raphael Varane.


United's first win in four Premier League games puts them in sixth place, three points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur despite having played two more games.

Sixth place earns a berth in the UEFA Europa League, while seventh place earns a position in the newly formed Europa Conference League.With his 18th Premier League goal of the season, Ronaldo has reduced the distance on leader Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot this season.
Salah has scored 22 goals so far this season.


He has nine Premier League goals in his previous 11 games for Manchester United, with eight of those coming at Old Trafford.
