Upon her arrival, the 41-year-old singer told reporters that her outfit was meant to'represent an empire state of mind and a city of gods here.'
200,000 hand-placed crystals were utilized to outline the metropolitan skyline on the designer gown.
Alicia looked lovely in a strapless silver floor-length gown with a short train and a sweeping one-shoulder cape.
The Empire State Of Mind singer wore full makeup to enhance her natural beauty and added a splash of color with red lipstick.
Alicia had her dark hair pulled back into a long ponytail adorned with black-and-white coasters.
The 15-time Grammy Award winner accessorized with dangling Tiffany & Co. jewelry including earrings with diamonds and emeralds and a bracelet in gold and platinum with diamonds, emeralds and montana sapphires.
Alicia was joined by her husband Swizz Beatz, 43, who opted for the sporty chic look while also paying tribute to New York City.
Alicia and fellow New York City native Swizz, real name Kasseem Daoud Dean, have been married since 2010 and have two children together.
