#jaiyeorie H.E.R. recently spoke with the women of "The Real" about her role as a worldwide ambassador for L'Oréal and how she's just two accolades away from achieving EGOT status.
Because I'm a Black and Filipino woman from the Bay Area, I get to empower and inspire young women just by being on that platform.
And, you know, for them to see a young woman selling this beauty brand.
I really don't think I've seen that many people that look like me in commercials for some of these huge makeup and hair brands.
So being in that position means a lot to me.
She described it as a "full circle" event because she first began experimenting with makeup with her mother.She described it as a "full circle" experience because she began her beauty journey with L'Oréal true match mascara.
H.E.R. has won a Grammy and an Oscar, and she sees being two wins away from an EGOT as a natural step, in the sense that she won't just do anything to get there.
She wants it to naturally flow from her passions for acting, directing, and producing.
H.E.R. mentioned that Alicia Keys was her idol growing up, and that her most memorable performance was with her at the Global Citizen Festival.
