Congratulations to Billie Eilish!
The singer and Finneas won Best Original Song tonight at the not-televised 2022 Golden Globe Awards, Pitchfork is reporting. Their James Bond theme “No Time to Die” was nominated alongside BeyoncΓ© (“Be Alive” from King Richard), Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto), Van Morrison (“Down to Joy” from Belfast), Carole King and Jennifer Hudson (“Here I Am” from Respect).
Per Pitchfork: “This year’s Golden Globes were not televised or livestreamed this year amid after an exposΓ© last year outlined a lack of Black members in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. NBC declined to air this year’s ceremony and said next year’s would only happen if “meaningful reform” transpired. The HFPA attempted to address those concerns by adding Black members, a chief diversity officer, and a partnership with the NAACP.”
