The lawmaker representing Ede North State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Niran Atidade, has been attacked by social media users, as the pictures of packs of Semovita he distributed to his constituents went viral.
Each bag of the food items had the message, “Go and get your PVC so you and I can vote Senator Nurudeen Adeleke as governor in 2022,” printed on it.
In a post, a Facebook user, Agunbiade Joshua, wrote, “politics of stomach infrastructure. Until Nigerians start rejecting this shameless approach, the political slavery continues. I weep for this country.”
However, a counter post by another Facebook user, Sulaimon Abayomi, read, “APC government brought economic hardship to this country. Even if anybody shares bread on behalf of Adeleke it is part of the reduction of hunger.”
