Bolanle and Toolz have joined other Nigerians, including President Buhari's assistant, Bashir Ahmad, to react to the recent comments of former Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke on Internet scammers known in the local language as "Yahoo Yahoo boys".
Diezani, while giving a lecture at a virtual conference on Friday, August 7, had condemned fraud, saying that the moral fabric in Nigeria has declined at the level where Yahoo Yahoo boys have become role models in society.
Diezani, who is currently facing accusations of bribery and money laundering in London and Nigeria, stressed the importance of mentoring for young people, saying that only hard work could guarantee success.
However, this has ignited social media's reaction to the former politician with many of the opinion that he is not in a place to make such a comment, as he is currently being tried in several courts for alleged crimes.
See few reactions below.

How do you tell people , how do you tell us young people to work hard and do what is right when bullshit like this is happening!! Like how ??!! The hypocrisy in this country.— Bolanle Olukanni (@bolanleolukanni) August 10, 2020
No shame at all! Crazy woman.— Toolz O.D (@ToolzO) August 10, 2020
Who invited Diezani to speak on moral values? Was it an attempt to ridicule her or it’s just a case of sycophancy? Why this is disturbing is, one day she’s going to stand on a podium and offer this advice, and be cheered by the country she once robbed.pic.twitter.com/Kegwucx5GI— Gimba Kakanda (@gimbakakanda) August 10, 2020
Fine Face of a Fine Thief.Diezani dey lament the lack of societal values that have now made Yahoo Yahoo boys role models in the Nigerian society.

In Nigeria, once you have money, you are a role model even without the knowledge of what you do for a living.Them being “role model” doesn’t mean “we aspire to do yahoo/fraud”. It means we want to have money and flex like them.
Money no dey and Diezani and her kind caused it! https://t.co/T0wRup6UQt

Diezani on Yahoo Boys; great message, so take the message and leave the messenger, since the message ≠ the messenger!— Bashir Ahmad (@BashirAhmaad) August 10, 2020
If Diezani Alison-Madueke really wants to pontificate about how the growing acceptance of 'Yahoo Boys' is "a travesty of an unfolding tragedy for us", I'd sincerely like her to fly into Nigeria after the airspace lockdown to say it to us physically.Do it with your chest, madam.

Hushmummy, another fugitive, criticised Yahoo Yahoo Boys. The audacity, boldness and temerity. Because there are no serious consequences for looting the Nigerian treasury.— Dr. Dípò Awójídé (@OgbeniDipo) August 10, 2020
