The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has joined in the fight against r*pe and s*xual offences in the country.
NAPTIP over the weekend published the names and photographs of some persons convicted of s*xual offences in Nigeria.
Julie Okah-Donli, Director-General of NAPTIP, who is at the forefront of this initiative took to twitter to release the names.
The list also contained the names of ten males, their addresses, offences and year of conviction.
Just last week, there was a series of protest in Abuja and Lagos with women calling for strict penalties against r*pists.
Nollywood actresses Hilda Dokubo and Tonto Dikeh partook in the protest submitting a petition at the Police Headquarters Abuja.
This initiative by NAPTIP is a step in the right direction at a time when women all over Nigeria are calling on the government to enforce stricter penalties for r*pe.
Thumbs up to the Director-General of NAPTIP and also, to those lending their voice to speak against r*pe. 📎 The key is : Learn how to BE HAPPY BY YOURSELF FIRST. Because a human being that is happy on his/her own will never settle to be miserable with someone else. When you find happiness on your own then you will be able to spread it and share it with someone else. ... CRITIC ALSO 🖋️ spill TEA ☕ Easy on Shade 💣
