Abdullahi Ganduje addressed the press on his election victory, stylishly mocking opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his supporters took the victory celebration a notch higher in ways that might be seen as a direct attack.

On Sunday night, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced the incumbent governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the winner of the governorship election in Kano State.
Supporters with the aid of a ladder climbed the coronation hall in the government house to remove the portrait/picture of the monarch to show their displeasure with him.Should the Emir of Kano State be worried as this might be a message being passed across by the supporters of the APC?

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the other hand says its candidate, Abba K. Yusuf, is the rightful winner of the Kano state governorship election, stating that any contrary declaration will not stand. This is according to a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan.
The opposition party said that its candidate Abba Yusuf, won the Kano state governorship election since March 9, 2019, having fulfilled the constitutional requirement of securing the highest number of votes and the statutory 25% in two-thirds of the state.
