Jussie Smollet Attack: Surveillance footage shows persons of interest

Chicago police released photos from a surveillance video which captured potential persons of interest in the attack on  Jussie Smollett .

The attack occurred in the Streeterville neighborhood.

The photos show two silhouettes on New Street near Illinois between 1:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said photos of the “persons of interest” were to be released later Wednesday evening.

Smollett, who is black and gay and plays the gay character Jamal Lyon on the hit Fox television show, said the men beat him, subjected him to racist and homophobic insults, threw an “unknown chemical substance” on him and put a thin rope around his neck before fleeing.... spill TEA ☕ Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
