Sudanese-born Australian model Adut Akech,19 struggles with depression and anxiety behind the scenes.
Adut, who launched her modelling career at the age of 16, revealed her secret battle with depression and anxiety in a post on New Year's day. The Sudanese-Australian model said she cried every morning and night in 2018.

In a post she shared on Instagram, Adut said that despite her successful career she "suffered from really bad depression and anxiety". She added that she is learning to handle her mental illness but feels overwhelmed sometimes.
